Google Analytics 4 Integration

A planned setting that would send page-view and submit events for a form to a GA4 property; what works today instead.

A Google Analytics integration would take a GA4 measurement id on the form's Integrations tab and report two events to that property as visitors use the form: a page view for each page they reach and a submission when they finish. In GA4 you would then mark the submission as a conversion, add the event parameters as custom dimensions, and build a funnel across the pages to see where people leave.

Today, Google Analytics is a card marked coming soon on the Integrations tab. There is no per-form measurement id to enter.

What exists now covers most of the same questions. The form's own Insights tab counts visits, starts, completions and drop-off per page without any tracker, and works whether or not a visitor blocks scripts. On a custom domain, code injection lets you add the GA4 tag once for every form served there. For an embedded form, the widget can forward its events to the host page, where a tag manager can pick them up; see Track form events with Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel.

When the integration ships, this page will describe entering the measurement id and the events it reports.
